A Regional Manager at Goodlife Fitness in Woodstock is about to be put to the ultimate endurance test.
 

Terri Dermo is set to begin a cross-country bike ride spanning 7000km over 16-days.

Dermo is participating in the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride.

We spoke with Dermo, who is training in Richmond, BC on this eve of the ride.  "I'm feeling really excited, and nervous.  We really don't know what to expect, and we've had some great training here so far."

Dermo says she physically ready to take on the ride, but says with daily dedications involving kids with cancer, she says there's nothing to prepare the riders for the mental highs and lows of the ride.

They'll be biking from Vancouver to Halifax over the next two-plus-weeks.

The closest they will come to our area is Toronto.
